AOC Announces Resin Price increase for Mexico, Caribbean & Central America

May, 2008 : Collierville, TN

AOC, LLC announces a US $0.08 per pound price increase on all resins sold into Mexico, Caribbean, and Central America, effective for all shipments beginning June 16, 2008.

Crude Oil (WTI) on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) continues to trade at record levels and exceeds $120 per barrel as global demand continues to rise.  Natural Gas costs have also been steadily rising as NG consumption has increased.

The prices of critical feedstocks used to make raw materials for Unsaturated Polyester Resin have risen, and the trend will continue as these raw material increases lag Crude Oil and Natural Gas price changes.

AOC is committed to the principles of Six Sigma Lean and other strategies that help offset the rising costs of manufacturing unsaturated polyesters.  The company continues to invest in the future of composites and cast polymers through end-use market development and new technologies for improving the customer’s competitiveness in the global marketplace.
