AOC announces resin price increase for Mexico

AOC, LLC announces a US$0.09 per pound price increase on all products sold in Mexico, effective for all shipments beginning October 20, 2008.
The announcement follows the current pressure on the Mexican peso and continued pricing volatility for key resin production raw materials produced in the Gulf of Mexico region. Further, AOC is advising it may elect to suspend sales in pesos in the near term, depending on currency exchange conditions.
AOC follows the principles of Six Sigma Lean and other strategies that help offset the rising cost of making unsaturated polyesters.
