AOC starts European production of Vipel® vinyl esters

Power plant chimney liner cans made with Vipel® vinyl ester are field bonded together and installed on siteHigh performance Vipel® vinyl ester resins are now offered from manufacturing facilities in Europe.  This action gives specifiers, manufacturers and users of corrosion-resistant composites in Europe, the Middle East and Africa more flexibility to take advantage of AOC’s extensive range of material technologies. 
 
Products available for shipment from Europe include standard bisphenol A vinyl esters, high elongation vinyl esters, and thixed and promoted systems.  Vipel vinyl esters combine with Vipel unsaturated polyesters to form a range of reliable materials to choose from to optimize the manufacturing process and meet performance specifications. 
 
As seen in AOC’s Case History library at www.CorrosionResins.com, Vipel vinyl esters are used in the energy, chemical processing, food processing, infrastructure and other sectors where equipment is exposed to highly corrosive environments.  Vipel vinyl ester technologies are also available for marine laminates, barriers and skin coats.  
  
Custom sewer liner panels are molded with an outer layer of Vipel® unsaturated polyester and inner layer of Vipel vinyl ester.Vipel corrosion-resistant resins can be formulated to be process-friendly in filament winding, hand lay-up, spray-up, resin transfer molding, resin infusion and other composite manufacturing operations.
