AOC announces executive promotions

November, 2009 : Collierville, TN

Fred Norman has been appointed to the newly created position of President and Chief Operating Officer of AOC. Norman will report to Randy Weghorst, who continues in his role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Jack Roesle, Senior Vice President - Global Sales & Marketing, Tom Folda, Vice President - Technology, Jim Griffith, Vice President - Global Purchasing, Jim Kunz, Vice President - IT, & CIO, Matt Watkins, Vice President Operations; will report to Norman.

John Griggs, Vice President - International Development, has been appointed to the position of Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer and will also report to Norman. Hazel Butler, Director of Human Resources, Steve Jameson, Senior Manager-Treasury Service, and Mike Bayless, Corporate Controller, will report to Griggs.

Norman joined the Alpha Corporation, a co-founding company of AOC, in 1976. He held several positions in Alpha for Alpha Resins and its subsidiary SynTechnics, Inc., before being promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alpha in 1991. Instrumental in the formation and financing of AOC, formerly the joint venture between Alpha and Owens Corning, Norman was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AOC before his current promotion.

Norman received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in 1975 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Memphis State University in 1982.

Griggs joined Alpha in 1983 and served as Corporate Credit Manager, Division and Corporate Controller. In 1997 he joined AOC as Vice President and Treasurer. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies from Rhodes College in 1973.
