AOC announces price increase for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean

AOC, LLC will increase prices US$0.08/lb on all products with shipments on and after May 16, 2011 for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
While natural gas prices continue to moderate, geopolitical events in North Africa and the Middle East coupled with the weakening of the U.S. dollar continue to put pressure on crude oil pricing. In addition, feedstock derived from both natural gas and crude oil are being pushed higher due to supply tightness and shortages. Many of the raw materials used to produce unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins are on Sales Control. Three of the most recent raw materials on Sales Control are maleic anhydride, methyl methacrylate and bisphenol A.
